The band has stated that the sound of the album will be much heavier than their previous record. Chris Daughtry announced on his Twitter that there would be 14 songs on the record, but 5 bonus tracks in different stores. Daughtry co-wrote the songs on the album with Chad Kroeger from Nickelback, Ryan Tedder from OneRepublic, Trevor McNevan from Thousand Foot Krutch, Jason Wade from Lifehouse, Adam Gontier from Three Days Grace, and Eric Dill from The Click Five. On May 29, 2009, Daughtry released the album art cover. The song written with Ryan Tedder didn't make the album.
